FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves acting upon an object with short duration signal of known magnitude. Its maximum value is less than signal magnitude corresponding to pain syndrome. It is recorded during 500 ms beginning from the moment the signal is emitted as averaged analog/digital signal. Search area of P2, N2 components of long-latent induced potential is set within the interval from the moment the signal is emitted to 340 ms. Two time intervals are selected, maximum and minimum signal values are determined and absolute value of difference between the maximum and minimum signal values is calculated. The obtained absolute value of difference is compared to K value, where K is coefficient determined in experimental way. The value is used for making conclusions concerning the presence of long-latent induced brain potential. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in diagnosing vision, hearing and tactile sensation threshold. 12 cl, 7 dwg
