FIELD: organic sorbents. SUBSTANCE: sorption-active fibers are based on viscose fiber Ц starting material for manufacturing waste water-treatment filters and, as ion-exchange sorbents, for concentrating metals. Carbon fibrous sorbent is pyrolytically prepared and viscose-based fibers are then activated. Sorbent contains meso- and macropores, and depth of the meso- and macropore layer of the fiber is 1000 to 5000 at meso- to macropores ratio 1:(0.25-0.75). EFFECT: improved procedure.
