FIELD: forging hammers. SUBSTANCE: forging hammer with upper and lower movable parts is mounted on foundation by means of guiding columns, pneumatic cylinder and piston. Hammer includes apparatus for acting upon housing with anvil block by constant compressed air effort during the whole operation cycle of hammer. Inlet and outlet controlled valves join pneumatic cylinder arranged under anvil block with lines of low and high pressure. Effect is achieved due to maintaining constant pressure in pneumatic cylinder arranged under anvil block and due to conversion of work of reaction efforts to energy of mutually opposite motion.
