FIELD: mechanical engineering, design of new and reconstruction of existing shops of plants fitted with equipment of percussive type. SUBSTANCE: guiding columns, frame with anvil block, dropping parts, bearing springs, springs correcting initial position of anvil block relative to guiding column are mounted on hammer foundation. Pneumatic cylinder with piston made fast with rod to anvil block is anchored on foundation under anvil block. Inlet and outlet regulating valves coupling pneumatic cylinder with high- and low-pressure lines are provided in hammer to ensure constancy of action of compressed air on anvil block. Closed cycle of usage of compressed air is maintained by transferring device in the form of two reservoirs, compressor with inlet and outlet branch pipes, inlet regulating valve and elements of automatic control over operation of compressor. One reservoir is placed in high- pressure line and is coupled to outlet branch pipe of compressor. Second reservoir is built in low-pressure line and is coupled to inlet branch pipe of compressor. Elements of automatic control over operation of compressor include pressure relay with N C and N O contacts, time relay and magnetic starter.
