FIELD: acetylene bottles. SUBSTANCE: porous mass includes loose fibrous material, advantageously basalt fiber, in the form of mat spirally wound into roll for tightly, with no gaps, inserting inside gas bottle. As mat backing, cloth is utilized made of material with high wetting ability, which may be additionally impregnated with compositions, for example, with ammonium sulfate, endothermically degradable on heating and releasing gas preventing decomposition of acetylene in the bottle. Between layers of rolled mat, a heat-conducting metal insertion in the form of thin gauze or perforated tape is laid from the center to outer surface to provide high heat conductance and mechanical strength of porous mass. EFFECT: increased reliability of acetylene bottle. 5 cl, 3 dwg
