FIELD: transportation and storage of liquids and gases. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of high-pressure cylinders for automobile transport and gas-welding equipment and cylinders with air-oxygen mixtures for individual protective means of respiratory organs. High-pressure cylinder has two half-cylinders with bottoms and pipe connection at least in one of them. Half-cylinders are jointed together along thickened edges. Edges of half-cylinders to be jointed are provided with internal thread and are jointed by means of internal bushing-nipple made of material homogeneous with half-cylinder material. External surface along cylinder generatrix is reinforced by a layer made of glass fiber or carbon fiber. The invention enables use of high-strength metal constructional materials with limited weldability. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 2 dwg
