FIELD: conical mills; may be used in milling of fibrous materials and solid granules in wood-pulp and paper industry and in production of smokeless powders. SUBSTANCE: conical mill consists of stator and rotor coaxially mounted in mill body and separated in height by partitions into sections. Stator and rotor are made in the form of truncated cones. Partitions are made to provide for additional turbulization of flow. Grooves of rotor and stator in adjacent sections are displaced relative to each other and covered with cutters. Grooves width varying in sections in direction of process flow from large to small, their number varies from small to large, and their shape changes from rectangular to nonisosceles-trapezoidal. Angle between edges of cutters of stator and rotor in plane of separation amounts to 10-60 deg. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 dwg
