FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to electrical equipment used in oil production industry and particularly in equipment for electric heating of oil wells with purpose of cleaning them from paraffin deposit. Electric insulator has plastic body in the form of cylindrical bush with external longitudinal centering ribs and end face chamfers. Made in two end faces of body are external tapered surfaces. Internal surface is provided with longitudinal ribs. External grooves are made at one end of ribs. Height of internal ribs is made such as to ensure guaranteed clamping of pipe. Ends of external ribs are of streamline configuration. External grooves are tapered, external ribs are in the form of trapezium, and their end faces are made with three-side chamfers.
