FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines with hydraulic mechanism converting movement of pistons into shaft rotation. SUBSTANCE: engine has crank-plate mechanism to convert movement of pistons into shaft rotation and mechanism to control amount of liquid in underpiston compartments. Conversion mechanism closers are L-shaped and provided with supports located above cheeks and journals of cranks. Liquid control mechanisms have non-equal-arm levers with support movable in direction of pistons. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability and decreased overall dimension. 6 cl, 3 dwg
