FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: laser lamp has cylindrical- or elliptical-profile reflector accommodating pumping source attached to its ends, and heat-conducting, light-transmitting envelope around active element, as wells damping layer possessing light-transmitting and heat-conducting properties and placed in radial gap between envelope and active element. Envelope transmits light within absorption wavelength range of active element; its is secured inside reflector in center of its internal surface length, on length of maximum two diameters of its cross-sectional area. Damping layer is made in the form of compound. Active element is held within envelope by means of rubber-like packing compound placed in end radial gap on envelope ends.
