FIELD: physics, applicable in quantum acoustics for studying the interaction of quanta of elastic disturbances with electrons, magnons and other quasi-particles in crystals. SUBSTANCE: crystal with an activator (contaminant) placed in an optical and at the same time hypersonic resonator is used as medium; the crystal is influenced by electromagnetic radiation of the optical wave band, and in the conditions of simultaneous generation of electromagnetic modes of another frequency an excess concentration of excited atoms or other particles and their systems in the lower laser state as compared with the equilibrium one is produced providing a non-optical transition from it to the main state and actuating resonance oscillations of the crystal lattice and generation of hypersonic- frequency oscillations.
