FIELD: engineering physics (generation of coherent electromagnetic radiation).

SUBSTANCE: proposed device that can be used to develop off-line laser radiation sources has reference-input element, neutron source, and quantum amplifier. The latter has gas tray holding fissionable material on its inner surface and end windows. Reference-input element has electron accelerator and undulator. Neutron source is surrounded by moderator unit and is made in the form of shell holding fissionable material and target device. Quantum amplifier trays are disposed in moderator unit channels or on its outer surface.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of nuclear-to-electromagnetic-radiation energy conversion.
