FIELD: laser equipment, in particular solid-state lasers, applicable for production of strong laser radiation in the yellow spectral bend, in particular for excitation of sodium atoms at production of adaptive systems of astronomical telescopes with a correction of atmospheric distortions according to an artificial sodium star for the purpose of astronomy. SUBSTANCE: the solid-state laser of the yellow spectral band is made on a neodymium pumping laser, laser frequency converter on stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) and a frequency doubler to a visible band. The combination of the pumping laser and SRS-converter materials is selected so as not to get to the required frequency. In particular, the neodymium crystal is made on the crystal of gadolinium-gallic garnet with ions Nd3+, and the SRS-converter - on the crystal of barium tungstate. The SRS- converter and the frequency doubler may be placed in the resonator of the neodymium pumping laser. EFFECT: matched radiation frequency of the solid-state laser with the resonance transitions of sodium atoms and reduced the SRS-lasing-action threshold. 7 cl, 6 dwg, 3 tbl
