FIELD: machine building, more particularly polishing of surfaces of lightly painted plastic products. SUBSTANCE: polishing paste comprises (wt %): 32.8-34.5 spherical aluminium oxide having particle size of 0.1-0.5 mcm; 1.3-1.5 aerosil; 16.7-17.4 Vaseline oil; 4.6-4.8 castor oil; 36-37 paraffin, and up to 100 white spirit. Polishing power: luster as measured by luster meter is 65-68%. Surface is white. EFFECT: improved properties of the polishing paste.
