FIELD: production of ferroalloys, in particular, production of ferromolybdenum. SUBSTANCE: method includes roasting of concentrate in roasting furnace with the use of common practice. Smelting of ferromolybdenum is carried out in electric arc furnace. First, smelted in metal bath is iron-containing material under lime-silicate slag with basicity of 2-2.5. Then, loaded into produced melt is preliminarily prepared mixture of roasted molybdenum concentrate and reducing agent at the rate of 100-250 kg/min. After completion of loading, slag is heated for 10-15 min by electric arcs. EFFECT: reduced content of sulfur in ferromolybdenum by a factor of 3.7-4.8 and reduced loss of molybdenum with slag. 2 tbl
