FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: used in charge as reducer and flux are ferrosilicon and lime. Manganese-containing material is used in form of manganese oxide materials and ferromanganese production wastes. At the beginning of melting, supplied into furnace is one part of charge containing ferromanganese production wastes and 70-80% of it is melted. Then, the remaining part of the charge is loaded and fully melted. Additionally introduced to the surface of melt is ferrosilicon in the amount of ferrosilicon used for melting. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
