FIELD: bore-hole drilling machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: this relates to inserts intended for holding and possible releasing of cutting facility in earth drill. Insert has cylindrical member installed inside earth drill with possible displacement between position of installing in which inserts holds cutting facility in cutting position between external peripheral surface of insert and internal round wall of earth drill and position of return in which insert is withdrawn thus releasing cutting facility from position between peripheral surface of insert and internal round wall of earth drill. Cylindrical member is actually separate component made for possible engagement with tool for installing and possible return of cutting facility in process of installing cutting facility. Cylindrical member is provided with component which interacts with mating component on earth drill. It ensures its permanent holding in earth drill and limits its displacement between position of installing and position of return within extremes of earth drill.
