FIELD: oil and gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: this relates to technology of recovering oil and gas containing paraffins and asphalt-resin materials, and also to their transportation in field pipelines. Device for removing paraffin depositions has induction coil located on external surface of section of oil pipeline and connected to source of alternating current. Induction coil is made in the form of removable quadrangular frame. Two opposite sides of frame are located along generating lines of oil pipeline section. Two other opposite sides of frame are made in the form which repeats profile of external surface in lateral cross-section of oil pipeline section. It is favorable to connect induction coil to source of alternating current through capacitor of capacitance value which meets following relation: C= 1/4 π²f²L, where f - frequency of alternating current, Hz; L - inductance of coil, Gn; capacitance of capacitor, F. It is favorable to have distance between sides of frame located along generating lines of oil pipeline section to be equal to outer diameter of oil pipeline. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
