FIELD: military equipment, in particular, bullets for combat small arms. SUBSTANCE: bullet has an envelope, envelope filler, mainly lead, with a blind duct accommodating the core. The front end of the bullet is flat or concave, the duct and the core are made stepped converging to the bullet front end, they are separated from it by a partition broken by the end of the step of the core lesser diameter under the action of pressure of powder gases at a shot. The length of the step of the core lesser diameter equals the sum of 1.5 to 2.5 bullet diameters and the distance between the end of the step of the duct larger diameter and the bullet front end, and the diameter equals 0.2 to 0.25 bullet diameter. Located between the core and duct are the seal of their joint, core brake and retainer in the front position. The core is furnished with combat charge injuring the manpower. In a particular case the step of the duct larger diameter is formed by a bush fastened to the envelope filler and made either of high-strength and high-density material, for instance, hardened steel, in this case the core is made of low-density material, for instance, aluminium alloy or plastic, or of low-density material, in this case the core is made of high-density and high-strength material. In a particular case a diametrical undercut of the step of the core lesser diameter being away from the front end of this step at a distance not exceeding its diameter is made along the step of the core lesser diameter. In a particular case the seal of the joint between the core and duct is formed either by the respective fit of the steps of the larger diameter in each other, or by a number of annular ducts made on the step of the core larger diameter, or by a sealing ring in one or several annular ducts made on the step of the core larger diameter, or by a cup-shaped collar of plastic or elastic material installed in the duct, with the outer surface of its bottom resting on the end of the step of the core larger diameter. In a particular case the brake and retainer of the core in the front position are formed by tapered surfaces and radial-end bosses made on the step of the core larger diameter on the side of its smaller diameter step and in the step of the duct larger diameter on its end or near the end, in the duct they are made integral with the envelope filler.
