METHOD OF SEROLOGICAL DIAGNOSTICS OF BRUCELLOSIS IN CATTLE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science, veterinary diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: method deals with titrating complement and hemolysin, tested serum is inactivated, estimated amount of total brucellosis antigen before preparing working dilution is mixed with antigen from Mycobacterium bovis and Mycobacterium tuberculosis at 1:1 ratio, then mixture is diluted with physiological solution at unified titer of 1:75 and added into reaction at the quantity of 2 ml. Then complement is supplemented and stored at room temperature for 40 minutes followed by incubation upon water bath at 37-38 C for 30 min, then hemosystem is added and reincubated at water bath for 20 min at the same mode. Accounting and evaluation of reaction is conducted after 16-18-h exposure at room temperature. EFFECT: higher efficiency to conduct simultaneous diagnostics of brucellosis and tuberculosis, to increase higher sensitivity in comparison with known methods. 2 tbl
