FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises the study of blood serum in agglutination test, complement fixation test with a single brucella antigen, the reaction of the immune diffusion with O-polysaccharide antigen and additional research of positively reacting samples in complement fixation test with R-antigen. The ovis antigen is used as R-antigen. The negative result of the complement fixation test with ovis antigen confirms that animal suffers from brucellosis, and the positive result - that the animal is healthy.
EFFECT: method enables to increase the accuracy of the differential diagnostics and to reduce unjustified slaughter of animals, and to ensure the objectivity of epizootic evaluation for brucellosis of cattle herds, immunised with live vaccines from dissociated strains of brucella of species abortus.
