AERODYNAMIC CLASSIFIER OF LOOSE MATERIALS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: separation of loose materials, specifically precious stones and metals under conditions of sand hills and dunes. SUBSTANCE: unit to feed loose materials is manufactured in the form of hopper with bottom composed of closely perforated walls forming hole adjusted by width of aperture. Mobile inclined wall is fitted with multichute extension piece and rests with middle of outer side against body of one air blower as minimum. Bottom part of it carries closely perforated guiding platform forming diffuser with mobile inclined wall of hopper. Upper starting part of guiding platform is located under immobile concave wall of hopper bottom in aerodynamic chamber. Air conduit is placed under guiding platform. Aerodynamic chamber is limited from bottom by row of lateral vertical partitions forming compartments-collectors. Upper faces of partitions are used as base of air conduits and have air discharging slits directed at acute angle towards their plane to outlet conduit of aerodynamic chamber joined to dust collector.
