FIELD: waste water treatment. SUBSTANCE: method is designed for removing organic matters, suspended solids, and other pollutants from waste waters and consists in aerating waste water, circulating it through biofilm, and fermenting solid particles and organics followed by crushing fermentation products. Biofilm is disposed on the stationary bearing structure immersed into liquid. Apparatus contains pretreatment chamber and, connected to it, biofilm-aeration chamber. The latter accommodates stationary bearing structure with biofilm growing on it and aerator. Aerator may be constructed in the form of aspirator or Venturi pump, or a tube with screw on its end. In the two latter cases, biofilm-aeration chamber is provided with disintegrator, which may be made as aspirator. Combining aeration and disintegration provides circulation of liquid in biofilm-aeration chamber. EFFECT: enhanced fermentation efficiency with high dissolved oxygen concentration in drains and low biochemical oxygen demand value and low concentration of suspended solids. 41 cl, 15 dwg, 5 tbl
