FIELD: INORGANIC FIBERS IN TEXTILE INDUSTRY. SUBSTANCE: basalt is loaded into furnace pan, melted, and directed into feeder jets through feed pipe. Process of feeding basalt melt into feeder jets through feed pipe and feed pipe-feeder jet attachment system is performed at operation temperature gradient in the direction of melt travel not exceeding $$$ 20 C, whereas ratio of basalt intake through jet pipe at free flow of melt to basalt melt intake through feeder jets should not be below 1.05. Apparatus contains heated die feeder, jet pipe, feed pipe-feeder jet attachment system, and fiber-admission unit. Above-mentioned attachment system constitutes a flange connection with gap within 2-8 mm, and minimum outside diameter of the flange should be by at least 10 mm larger than inside diameter of jet pipe. EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
