FIELD: manufacture of fibers from rocks. SUBSTANCE: process of manufacture of fibers from rocks includes melting in the course of 380- 3000 min determined as mean-integral time of presence of melt in melting zone ( bath ). Bath is additionally fitted with two T-shaped electrodes as minimum. Symmetry axis of current-conducting part of each of them is displaced relative to symmetry axis of drawhole ( slot ) bath by 0.001-0.5 length of working part of electrodes. Electrodes are submerged into bath to level of column of melt present in it. Upper edge of drawhole ( slot ) is located at level amounting to 0.5-0.9 level of column of melt. In addition level of column of melt above drawhole is kept within limits of 30.0-120.0 mm. EFFECT: increased productivity, reduced usage of material and energy in implementation of process. 3 cl, 1 dwg
