FIELD: mineral fibers production. SUBSTANCE: feeder comprises casing, orifice plate with dies, power-supply conductors on the longitudinal symmetry axis of orifice plate, and convex perforated heating screen mounted over orifice plate and being slightly distanced from its longitudinal symmetry axis and at the same time being at the least distance to dies most remote with regard to this axis. In cross-section of feeder, distance between lower surface of screen and upper surface of orifice plate is equal to at least 1/15 of distance between extreme dies. Screen is connected with current conductors and may be inverse-V-shaped in its cross-section. Superposition of unlike-directed temperature gradients of melt and plate along its width levels temperature of melt coming out of dies.
