METHOD OF DEVELOPMENT OF COMMERCIAL DEPOSIT IN CRYSTALLINE BASEMENT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: development of commercial deposits in crystalline basement. SUBSTANCE: according to method, a region with a great number of commercial deposits is selected in zones of sedimentary rocks. Determined in the Earth crust of selected region is zone of crystalline basement under sedimentary rocks. Determined in zone of crystalline basement are zones of solidified rocks with zero permeability and zones of incoherent rocks with permeability of reservoirs located under zone of solidified rocks. Sizes and configuration of zone of incoherent rocks are determined. Shape, thickness and area of zone of solidified rocks are analyzed. In case of presence of dome shape and thickness and area of zone of solidified rocks sufficient for containing the ascending flows of fluids, at least, one producing well is sunk through dome part of zone of solidified rocks to zone of incoherent rocks. Subject to determination in zone of incoherent rocks are reservoir beds and nonreservoir beds. Reservoir beds are subject to production test beginning from lower reservoir bed. Further development of producing well pattern is effected depending on reservoir properties of reservoir bed.
