FIELD: production of purified food thawed water for household and industrial needs. SUBSTANCE: the offered method includes use of two vessels, from one vessel heat is abstracted to freeze water, and supplied to the other is heat to thaw ice previously formed. Duration of freezing is determined by estimation of purity and quality of water or volume of water frozen in water vessel. Nonfrozen water having impurities is discharged from vessel in which freezing was conducted, and thawed water is discharged from the other vessel. Generator of thawed water has system of cooling or heating of vessels comprised of two closed evaporation-condensing circuits. Located on each vessel is evaporator of one circuit and condenser of the other circuit. Installed in vessels are transducers of parameter characterizing purity and quality of water, or transducers detecting the process of crystallization connected with control unit.
