FIELD: building industry. SUBSTANCE: enamel slip comprises (wt parts): 100 frit composed of silicon oxide, aluminium oxide, boron oxide, monovalent metal oxide and divalent metal oxide; 0.5-1.5 clay material; 35- 40 water; 1.5-3.0 sodium polysilicate with silicate module; 0.05-0.15 % solution of oxyethylated alkylphenol. The claimed method comprises applying first or intermediate slip layer of composition mentioned above by dipping, pouring or spraying, drying, applying subsequent layer by one of procedures mentioned above, and subjecting them to drying and roasting. First or intermediate layer is dried by raising temperature to 100-300 C at rate of 4 to 6 deg/min and maintained at final temperature for 10 to 60 min. Properties of coating: roasting temperature is 880 C; ultimate strength is 0.48 to 0.60 J; ultimate twisting strength is 102 to 105 deg; thermal stability is 7 or 8 cycles. EFFECT: improved properties. 3 cl, 4 tbl
