FIELD: technology of silicate enameling, particularly, applying coatings onto steel components of products for domestic purposes: washing machines, gas cookers, microwave, ovens, and glassware. SUBSTANCE: basalt composed of SiO2-Me2O3-RO-R2O in amount from 10 to 60% of frit weight and nickel oxide or monoxide in amount from 0.2 to 1.5% of total weight of frit and basalt is added to slip. EFFECT: lower operating costs, wider range of raw materials used and better environmental protection. 1 tbl
