FIELD: abrasive materials. SUBSTANCE: polishing paste has the following components, wt.-%: abrasive - calcined slime waste from galvanic manufacture that contains 79-96 wt. -% chrome oxide 50-64; stearin 10-12; paraffin 20.5-22.5; oleic acid 3-7, and kerosene - the rest up to 100. Paste exhibits high polishing property and provides surface roughness at the range 0.04-0.10 mm. Paste can be used for treatment of metallic surface made of ferrous and nonferrous metals and alloys and ensures to utilize galvanic manufacture waste.
