FIELD: modification of gear teeth and methods of their manufacture. SUBSTANCE: final member of gear train is subjected to analysis under working conditions for obtaining radial and tangential deviations of surfaces of teeth of drive gear and driven gear wheel which take place when gears are loaded in the course of operation. The resultant graph is converted for obtaining the graph or set of coordinates which will define the path of motion of wheel for grinding the gear tooth; this path is mirror image of graph obtained due to analysis of end member. Under action of working load, gear will deflect tangentially and radially from their optimal working position or by theoretical or true involute.
