SURGICAL SUTURE APPLIANCE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; application of clip suture. SUBSTANCE: suture appliance is made sectional. It has thrust 1 and clip 2 units and pusher 4, each consisting of operating part and holder. Thrust unit 1 has hollow holder which accommodates holders of clip unit 2 and pusher 4 and serves as holder of appliance. Section of this holder with operating part of 7-10 cm long, counting from its external edge is bent with respect to the remaining rectilinear section through 40-80 deg in plane perpendicular to clip application line. Holders of clip unit 2 and pusher 4 are made flexible for movement along curvilinear hollow of holder of thrust unit 1, for example, in the form of no-clearance roller transmission. As a result, sutures can be applied easily in region of base of left main bronchus when performing operations on lungs through front-side passage. Bronchus may also be sutured in inner-side direction. EFFECT: higher mechanical strength of suture. 2 cl, 4 dwg
