FIELD: rolled stock production, namely, rolling strips with strength properties differentiated along their cross section. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of reducing blank in cold rolling mill in mutually normal directions alternatively at side of its large and small faces, reducing, mainly near-edge portion of blank. Small faces are reduced with total percentage deformation value equal to 0.025-0.20. Dents formed by deformation on wide faces have height equal to 0.02-0.05 of strip thickness. Blank is tilted by 90 deg. Then wide faces of blank are reduced with total percentage deformation value equal to 0.025-0.20 along strip thickness with simultaneously reducing dents. EFFECT: continuity of strip edges at significant difference of mechanical properties in cross section of strip along its wide faces.
