FIELD: THERMOSTATING. SUBSTANCE: refrigerating-heating installation or part of it is placed outside heated room, in open air inclusive. At a positive difference between outside temperature and temperature preset in working chamber heat excess is rejected from chamber to preset threshold by vapor-compression method. Thermostating below preset threshold is accomplished in following variants. If outside temperature is lower than temperature preset in chamber, heat shortage is introduced into chamber by electric heating. Temperature control is accomplished by means of a relay. Heat excess abstraction or introduction of heat shortage into chamber is accomplished by thermoelectric method. Temperature control is accomplished by proportional method. Transition from vapor-compression method to thermoelectric one and vice versa is accomplished either in response to signal of difference between the preset temperature inside the chamber and measured one, or in response to signal of difference between measured outside temperature and temperature preset inside chamber. For thermostating values of thresholds are determined. installation realizing thermostating method has a thermostatic cabinet, temperature setter, subtracting element, 2 control devices, 2 actuators, vapor-compression type refrigerating unit, electric heater or thermoelectric refrigerating-heating unit, switching device or outside temperature pickups. EFFECT: reduced power consumption with simultaneous expansion of allowable operating range of outside temperatures up to their negative values. 13 cl, 3 dwg
