FIELD: agricultural engineering; slitting of perennial fodder crops to form loose zones in subsurface horizon for renewing root system of plants, keeping moisture in soil and aeration of lower soil horizons. SUBSTANCE: working tool has vertically installed knife with ribs on side surfaces. Ribs are made in form of tandem pairs of wheels with cutting edges on front and end face parts. Knife is installed for re-placement in direction of movement. Rear edge of knife has additional two-sided blade with cutting edge. Lower cut of knife is provided with bar points installed in knife for dismounting and re-placing. Knife consists of two sides of equal thickness. Rings are formed by sides of knife. Rings on side faces of knife are displaced relative to each other and are mated through parts of knife sides. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 10 cl, 3 dwg
