DEEP DIGGER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture; deep tillage in irrigation and dry farming. SUBSTANCE: deep digger has vertical shank 1 with blade 2 and point bar 4 on its lower portion. Shank 1 has ripper 6 in form of disks 11,12,13 secured in pairs in tiers behind shank 1 by means of connecting links and coupled with shank through adapters and shots of anchor chain. Each disk has cutting edge on peripheral portion made by one-sided sharpening of upper plane at angle of 15-21 degrees. Port with radial slots in made in center of each disk. Disks 11,12,13 on connecting links are installed for re-placing of cutting edge relative to direction of movement of shank 1. Connecting link of disk with anchor chain shot is made in form of ring or equilateral triangle with rounded off corners. Adapter connecting shank with anchor chain shot is made in form of oval end link and cylindrical trunnion 29. Semicylindrical recesses are made on surface of adapter trunnion 29. Mounting and lower portions of shank 1 in longitudinal vertical plane of symmetry are provided with inclined blind holes 32,33 and pairs of through holes made on side surface of shank 1. Different-size disks 11,12,13 of ripper 6 are installed behind shank 1 with diameters decreasing in direction from mounting part of shank to its point bar for by-tier loosening of soil in depth of tillage.
