FIELD: extraction of algae unattached to ground and forming continuous layer. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has picker 4 penetrating through algae layer to separate its top part, which is fed by winder 5 to suction flare 6 of hydraulic monitor. Sucked algae is caught up be water flow and supplied via pipeline together with water onto vessel board. Apparatus is advanced over bottom by means of device having wheels 2 and roll 3, which rolls over remaining algae layer to compact and strengthen loosened algae layer. Such construction of apparatus allows top layer of algae mass to be extracted to increase productivity of algae population. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and improved algae population productivity. 3 cl, 2 dwg
