FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: invention consists in that portion of reactor space containing catalyst is increased at the expense of decreasing gas-distribution space and eliminating ballast. For that, in the reactor containing vertical cylindrical casing with elliptic bottoms and shell, roof hatch, raw material inlet fitting, reaction product outlet fitting connected with central tube, distributor, wire basket placed in housing with annulus, and gauze-enveloped perforated central tube, (i) second cone-shaped bottom is set having vertical ledge and opening for central tube and forming annulus with casing and interbottom space, (ii) gauze of wire basket is inserted into space adjacent to inside surface of ledge, (iii) distributor includes interbottom space and swirl chamber placed on the outside part of lower elliptic bottom and having annular nick, tangential raw material inlet fitting and axial reaction product- discharge straightway fitting, (iv) central tube has connector and gauze barrier below connector plane, (v) on the inside surface of shell, vertical ribbing is made supporting horizontal rings, on which wire basket is suspended.
