FIELD: protection of oil production equipment from corrosion in mineralized media, more particularly in oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: corrosion inhibitor in mineralized aqueous media is prepared by reacting oxyethylated monoalkyl phenol with dimethyl phosphite or monomethyl phosphite or phosphorus trichloride on heating and subsequently reacting the resulting product with ethanol amine of general formula: H3-nN(C2H4OH)n, wherein n is 1,2 or 3 or straight C10-C16 amines or C12-C18 isoalkylamines in molar ratio of 1:0.8-1.2:0.8-1.2, respectively. Inhibitor is optionally dissolved in aliphatic alcohols or mixtures thereof, or in water, or alcohol/water mixture to 20-80% concentration. EFFECT: more efficient method of preparing corrosion inhibitor using easily available reagents manufactured in this country. 2 tbl
