FIELD: electrolytic production of aluminum. SUBSTANCE: gear includes central hopper coupled by pneumatic line to tower on one side and to metering bin mounted on electrolyzer on the other side. Metering bin is fitted with drive having conical gate and distributing cock mechanically tied up with drive of metering bin. Two-way distributing cock is coupled by pneumatic line to metering bin via filter on one side and to vacuum line on the other side. Distributing cock is fitted with branch pipe with outlet to atmosphere. Mechanism punching scum of electrolyte comes in the form of puncher with pneumatic cylinder coupled to pneumatic lines and chute. Hopper is equipped with aerator carrying branch pipe for air ingress. EFFECT: reduced loss of feedstock and usage of metal for manufacture of gear. 1 dwg
