FIELD: mechanical engineering; manufacture of diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: method consists in delivery of exhaust gases to ejector, suction of atmospheric air by ejector, mixing pf air with exhaust gases; gas-and-air mixture is fed to vortex tube through tangential nozzle where mixture is separated into light (cold) fraction and heavy (hot) fraction; then first fraction is directed to diesel engine cylinders and second fraction is discharged to atmosphere. Method is used for forced delivery of air to cylinders, return of light fractions of exhaust gases and cleaning of air from heavy inclusions making use of exhaust gas energy. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
