FIELD: measurement of flow rate of liquid or gas passed in continuous stream. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has at least one tube performing oscillations with resonance frequency transverse to direction of stream of liquid or gas passed through tube, two pickups 27, 28 to generate analog signals in agreement with movement of tube, means 50, 51 to process signals for conversion of analog signals to series of digital signals and means 55 to compute time difference from series of digital signals with the aid of Fourier transform. Each of analog signals emerging across pickups 27, 28 is converted to series of digital signals by means of analog-to-digital converters 50, 51 of increments that includes comparators 42, 43, reversible counters 44, 45 and digital-to-analog converters 46, 47.
