FIELD: repairs, applicable in reconditioning of cross knives of industrial meat hashers by building-up. SUBSTANCE: at shouldering of worn-out cutting edges the bevel angle is made variable, varying in length of the cutting edge directly proportional to the value of cutting force moment in points of force application within the effect of formation of roller plane overhanging above the perpendicular cutting edge in the form of convex meniscus at spreading of molten metal on inclined surface of cut; the cut is worked in helical plane with maximum shear angle not exceeding its width equal to the width of cutting edge; besides, at building-up lateral oscillations are imparted to electrode with longitudinal feed at which the next roller overlaps the previous one by one third in width. EFFECT: expanded range of standard sizes of reconditioned knives, reduced consumption of building-up material. 2 dwg
