FIELD: mechanical engineering; hydraulic lifts. SUBSTANCE: lift has guide secured on lift base, lift cabin, cabin drive formed by vertical power cylinder, block installed on plunger and wire rope reeved off in block and connected by one end with cabin and by other end, with base, and arresters with slave unit including wedges engaging with guides, arrester cut-in mechanism made in form of clamp, and speed limiter whose housing is installed on power cylinder plunger. One end of wire rope of speed limiter, which is reeved off in sheave, is connected with clamp, and the other end, with base. Wire rope stop has turning weights installed on sheave and rests on speed limiter housing. If speed of cabin exceeds preset limits, for instance, when wire rope is broken, weights installed on sheave turn around axles making the spring extend under action of centrifugal forces, come in contact with rests and stop the sheave, thus stopping the wire rope. Cabin continues its movement and, running onto wedges with its inclined guides, brings wedges into engagement with guide, thus stopping (wedging) the cabin on guide. EFFECT: simplified design. 1 dwg
