FIELD: technical microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new consortium of yeast Candida maltosa (strains VKPM Y-2256 and Y-2257). Ratio of strains in consortium can be any but ratio 1:1 is preferable. Hydrocarbon can be treated at sufficiently wide range. Consortium utilizes petroleum pollution at temperature below 41 C and at pH 3.0-9.0 and can be used in salted ecosystems. The use of consortium ensures to decrease oil hydrocarbon content in soil by 30% and in water - by 90% (at 10-th day of treatment). Invention can be used in biotechnology and ecology. EFFECT: new yeast strain indicated above, improved ecology, enhanced effectiveness of oil pollution treatment. 3 tbl, 2 ex
