FIELD: oil pollution elimination.
SUBSTANCE: object of invention is cleaning surface of natural and man-made water reservoirs, waste waters, and liquid industrial effluents polluted with crude oil and petroleum products with simultaneous utilization of pollutants by microorganisms. Biological sorbent comprises oil-oxidizing microorganisms, namely biomass of bacterial strain Rhodococcus erythropolis NK-16 or Arthrobacter sp. NK-15, or yeast fungus Candida lipolytica KBP-3308 or Candida guilliermondii KBP-3175, or Pichia guilliermondii KBP-3205, or bacterial-yeast consortium thereof immobilized on peat-based hydrophobic oil sorbent by way of growing bacteria and/or fungi on sorbent. Biosorbent is characterized by high biodestruction activity when used to eliminate intensive (more than 40% oil) pollutions.
EFFECT: enabled simultaneously sorption and utilization of crude oil or petroleum products by immobilized bacteria and yeast fungi.
