FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method can be used to increase recovering nonferrous metals from pyrrhotine-containing raw material and increase sedimentation characteristics of oxidized pulp. Method of invention, including oxidative autoclave leaching of material at temperature above melting point of elementary sulfur in presence of a surfactant to transfer nonferrous metals into solution, countercurrent washing of oxidized pulp to isolate solution and precipitate nonferrous metals from it in the form of sulfides, is distinguished by that, for leaching process, solution is used formed in the countercurrent pulp washing, which is dosed into autoclave once or twice at 5 to 50% total leaching time moments. Amount of return solution containing nonferrous metals and iron equals 20 to 80% of liquid phase mass coming into autoclave, liquid to solids ratio in oxidized pulp having to be in the range 2.5 to 3.5.
