FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, namely, to the processing of middlings containing platinum group metals obtained in the production of cathode nickel. The method includes repulpation, flotation and hydrometallurgical treatment. Repulpation is carried out before flotation in a solution of sulfuric acid containing Cu(II) ions at a temperature of 60-80°C, then flotation is carried out with the introduction of a sulfhydryl collector, a sludge peptizer and an oxide and silicate depressant into the pulp with one to three recleaning of foam and chamber products, then autoclave leaching is carried out at a temperature of 140-200°C, oxygen partial pressure 0.01-0.1 MPa, sulfuric acid concentration 50-200 g/dm³. In another version of the method, the froth product of flotation is subjected to high-temperature liquid-phase sulfatization at a temperature of 250-300°C, pulp dilution to a sulfuric acid concentration of 200-350 g/dm³ and subsequent leaching at a temperature of 80-100°C, and the resulting cake is filtered and washed with water.

EFFECT: reducing the duration of the technological cycle for obtaining concentrates, improving their quality due to the primary separation of rhodium, ruthenium and iridium from platinum, palladium and gold, reducing the consumption of sulfuric acid and the amount of non-ferrous metal solutions transferred to the main production cycle.
