FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to textile finishing procedures and, namely, to the methods of fungicidal treatment of hosiery and underwear ware designed to solve medical-prophylactic tasks and which may be, in particular, applied in knitwear manufacture. According to invention, ware containing 70- 100% cotton fiber, when dyed by self-leveling direct dyes and washed by hot water, are treated for 30 min in solution of a bactericide preparation based on alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride in concentration 1-2 g/l and 60-70 C. Thus, manufactured are high- quality comfortable medical-prophylactic cotton-fiber ware manifesting high fungicide activity, perspiration and friction- resistance of color, soft touch, and deodorant property.
